5 pounds red potatoes, peeled and cubed
½ cup butter, sliced
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 cup sour cream
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon pepper
¼ teaspoon garlic salt

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

  2. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add potatoes and cook until tender, about 15 minutes. Drain and mash with butter. Stir in cream cheese, sour cream, salt, pepper and garlic salt. Transfer to a 9x13 inch baking dish.

  3. Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes.

Recipe Note

Wonderful do ahead potatoes which can be frozen until you're ready to defrost and use them. Stays piping hot at the table.
