Ingredients

2 ½ cups white wine
2 cups white sugar
2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
1 pinch ground ginger
¾ pound fresh cranberries
¼ pound fresh cherries, pitted and halved

Directions

  1. Combine the wine, sugar, cinnamon, and ginger in a saucepan. Bring to a simmer over medium-high heat, stirring until the sugar has dissolved. Add the cranberries and cherries. Return to a simmer, reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer 45 minutes stirring occasionally. Refrigerate until cold before serving.
