¼ pound fresh scrapple
¼ cup all-purpose flour
2 cups milk
salt to taste
1 teaspoon ground black pepper, or to taste
1 tablespoon maple syrup, or to taste

Directions

  1. Heat the butter in a saucepan over medium-high heat. Crumble in the scrapple, and cook until browned, about 5 minutes. Stir in the flour, and cook until golden, 1 to 2 minutes.

  2. Slowly whisk in the milk, and bring to a gentle simmer. Reduce heat to medium-low, and cook, stirring frequently, until the mixture thickens, about 10 minutes. Season to taste with salt, black pepper, and maple syrup.

Recipe Note

Just like 'Creamed Chipped Beef' or 'SOS', only made with scrapple. Serve over toast or home fries/hash browns.
