½ cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
1 egg, beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
½ cup chopped walnuts
15 arrowroot biscuits, crushed

Directions

  1. Butter an 8x8 inch baking dish.

  2. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt together the butter, brown sugar and cocoa, stirring frequently until smooth. Remove from heat and stir in the egg and vanilla. Mix in the crushed cookies and walnuts. Press the mixture into the prepared pan and refrigerate until firm.
