Ingredients

3 tablespoons white sugar
3 tablespoons water
1 lime wedge
1 pinch kosher salt
4 sprigs fresh cilantro leaves
3 sprigs fresh mint, divided
7 thin slices cucumber, divided
2 fluid ounces tequila
2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
½ fluid ounce vodka
1 cup ice cubes

Directions

  1. Shake sugar and water in a Mason jar until sugar dissolves.

  2. Run lime wedge around the rim of a glass, dip rim in a dish of salt.

  3. Put cilantro, 2 sprigs mint, and 3 cucumber slices in a cocktail shaker. Add sugar mixture, tequila, lime juice, lemon juice, and vodka. Mash mixture with a muddler or wooden spoon until herbs are broken up and flavors are released, about 15 seconds. Add ice to fill, cover and shake vigorously for 10 seconds.

  4. Fill prepared glass with fresh ice and arrange remaining 4 cucumber slices inside. Strain drink into glass and garnish with mint sprig.
